I released the 24/7 Hustle tee (men's, women's) back in January of 2016. It's become one of our best sellers and I want to share how I came up with the idea.
The Backstory
It's been 10+ years since I started Livin’ Life and there have been plenty of times when I wanted to give up. There may be a few lucky people out there that achieve overnight success, but for the majority of us its a long process. All day and all night, making your dreams a reality feels like a 24/7 Hustle.
I don't try to make Livin' Life look like a Big Corporation or like everything is all peaches & cream. I try to stay as transparent as possible and the reality is it's very challenging running Livin' Life.
At times it seams like what ever can go wrong does go wrong. And most times things never seem to go as planned. It's never a dull moment and it's quite a challenge to keep things moving along.
Although it's challenging it's also very rewarding. The hard times can make you stronger and smarter as long as you learn from your mistakes.
So next time you're tempted to give up or too scared to even start, just remember YOU GOT THIS. You can do it, but its gon be a 24/7 Hustle.
The Design Process
The design process for this tee started with a simple sketch on a small post-it note. I was working on something on the computer and the idea just popped into my head. So I grapped the closest thing to me and sketched it out.
I wanted to keep the design simple, sticking to the minimal design aesthetic of Livin' Life. So I came up with the idea of using shapes. I used 2 semi circles, 5 triangles and 4 stars.
There really wasn't much to the design at all, it was pretty simple. But "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." - Leonardo da Vinci
